1D Niall’s tears for poor kids of Africa

Tears ... Niall

BIG-HEARTED One Direction singer Niall Horan has called on his nine million Twitter followers to help the poor in Ghana.

The Mullingar lad was moved to tears when he visited Africa with his bandmates this week as part of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day in the UK.
And Niall, 19, admitted the one-day trip opened up his eyes and that he’d never witnessed poverty like it. He tweeted: “Just arrived back from Accra, Ghana! Best life experience ever! This @rednoseday please get involved!
“I’ve seen the slums right in front of me! This is no joke! They really need your help! Poverty is real!”
The unstoppable boyband have teamed up with the charity to record the organisation’s official Red Nose Day single, a cover of Blondie’s One Way Or Another.
Niall added: “Massive thanks to @rednoseday for taking us to Ghana! It was incredible! real eye opener! We take so much for granted over here !”
Singer Harry Styles said: “We have grown up with Comic Relief and taken part in lots of Red Nose Days at school so we were thrilled to be asked to do the Red Nose Day single.
“It’s such an honour for us. We can’t wait to perform our version of this iconic pop song and raise as much money as possible for this incredibly important cause that is really close to our hearts.”
Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day takes place on March 15 and One Direction’s single goes on sale next month.
